James Mowery, CFE, is a seasoned professional with over 19 years of experience in franchising, serving as a franchisor, franchisee, and supplier. Since 2007, he has been a Certified Franchise Executive, specializing in guiding startups, business expansions, and turnaround initiatives within the franchise industry. His extensive technology background and project management expertise have been pivotal in his career. In 2010, James earned his Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute and holds a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Computer Information Systems. Throughout his career, he has worked across various sectors, including the service industry, small to medium business consulting, medical and health, manufacturing, and the Department of Defense. Currently, James serves as the Chief Technology Officer at SMB Franchise Advisors, where he leverages his diverse experience to assist clients in achieving their business objectives.

In 2018, James co-founded Fifty5 Rivers Cold Brew, an innovative venture that began as an online business and has since expanded to a brick-and-mortar location in Fairborn, Ohio. The company specializes in crafted cold brew coffee and tea, offering ready-to-drink beverages in various sizes. Under James’s leadership, Fifty5 Rivers Cold Brew has grown to include mobile units, known as “The BARge,” bringing their unique cold brew offerings to events and festivals.
